Voglio Vivere Cosi’, an Italian online magazine interview Stefano back on 2022. Here below the Interview.

**Interviewer:** Stefano, please share some details about your background and journey.

**Stefano:** Greetings! I’m Stefano, born and raised in Cabiate, Italy, known for its furniture industry. Growing up amidst workshops and creative influences, my passion for design ignited early on. After high school, I pursued a non-traditional path, working during the day and studying design evenings. The experience in a furniture automation workshop was pivotal, instilling in me the value of strategic thinking. At age 20, I joined a renowned furniture company, eventually becoming its production manager while also completing a 5-year design course.

**Interviewer:** Why have you consistently sought international experiences?

**Stefano:** I believe that our planet offers a vast tapestry of extraordinary opportunities, and that every corner holds treasures waiting to be discovered. While Italy holds a dear place in my heart, I find it limiting to confine my existence to its boundaries. Embracing multiple residences worldwide brings me a sense of serenity and stability.

**Interviewer:** What led you to establish your business in Krabi, Thailand?

**Stefano:** It was an almost serendipitous encounter. I stumbled upon a one-way flight to Bangkok and embarked on an adventure. After a land expedition through Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, I arrived in Krabi. Captivated by its pristine beaches, warm locals, and affordable living, I decided to invest my modest savings in Thai boxing training. Concurrently, my knowledge of German landed me a job as a German-language representative for a tour operator. This experience opened doors and allowed me to lead tours to the beautiful Phi Phi Islands.

**Interviewer:** What advice would you offer to those aspiring to a similar path?

**Stefano:** The secret to a fulfilling life lies in embracing our dreams and shaping a reality that aligns with our deepest aspirations. Never fear making mistakes or succumbing to external judgments. Life is a canvas ready to be adorned with the strokes of our creativity. Live fully, immersing yourself in your own existence. Ask yourself, “If I were to die tomorrow, would I be satisfied with my life? What do I truly wish to achieve before my journey ends?” Let these reflections guide your path, bringing forth the authentic value of your choices.

**Interviewer:** Tell us about the purpose of your company.

**Stefano:** I founded my company in 2011, initially focusing on interior design and renovations. Over time, I expanded my services to include furniture imports from Italy and complete management of new building construction, specializing in villas. Collaborating with highly skilled architects, engineers, and technicians, I integrated financial and administrative components into my service, providing a comprehensive and efficient approach for my clients. Additionally, I have ventured into land investments, developing and selling properties.

**Interviewer:** You hold leadership roles in the Chamber of Commerce of Southern Thailand and the non-profit organization Thai Honest. Can you share insights about their missions?

**Stefano:** The Italian-Thai Chamber of Commerce fosters economic ties between Italy and Thailand, organizing events and networking opportunities. As the Deputy Chairman in Krabi, my focus is on expanding our network and assisting those seeking business opportunities in Southern Thailand. Thai Honest, on the other hand, is dedicated to promoting a culture of anti-corruption and honesty. My role involves collaborating with grant-providing organizations to support training programs and educational initiatives.

**Interviewer:** Your journey has not been without challenges. How have you navigated them?

**Stefano:** I don’t consider my journey a ‘success’ because I see a long path still ahead. Humility is crucial, and I treat everyone with respect, regardless of their role or status. I’ve dedicated myself consistently to work and education, including pursuing a degree in economics. Learning, personal growth, and balancing work with personal pursuits are essential for me. I firmly believe that perseverance, goal-setting, and kindness will enable me to overcome future challenges successfully.

**Interviewer:** What advice would you give to those who aspire to a similar journey?

**Stefano:** Believe in yourself, set ambitious goals, and relentlessly pursue them. However, never neglect personal relationships and self-care. Failures often stem from a lack of goals or passive acceptance of life’s circumstances. Stay determined, chase your dreams, be kind to others, and help those around you. Success will naturally follow. I believe in the power of Karma and the subconscious mind. We can create the reality we desire through the strength of prayers and belief.

**Interviewer:** Have you ever doubted your ability to succeed? How do you define failure?

**Stefano:** Fear of failure is an ever-present companion. To avoid it, I employ a strategy called “problem setting,” where I tackle problems in an organized manner, almost as if they need tickets to show up. As for failure, it’s like an unwanted guest who knocks on your door when you give up or fail to give your best. Remember to hold onto your determination like a superhero’s cape and tell fear that you have a party with humor and can’t afford to let it in.

**Interviewer:** What are the bureaucratic aspects of living and working in Thailand?

**Stefano:** Thailand has a list of jobs prohibited for non-Thai citizens, including many professional roles. Foreigners typically find opportunities in managerial positions or by starting their own businesses. To obtain a work permit, at least four Thai citizens must be employed for each permit issued, aiming to protect the local labor market. Careful planning and following the regulations are essential for anyone seeking to work in Thailand.
